This was a triple celebration of Cinco de Mayo, Charmane's birthday and an afterparty for the Vince Neil Celebrity Golf Tournament which took place earlier in the day. Bliss on La Cienega was the location and all rooms were packed by about 10:45. Bliss consists of four main rooms, with one being upstairs with a balcony. One downstairs, closest to the entrance was a smoking room with an open roof. There were three bars. The e-mailed invitation stated that free Margaritas would be served from 9-10, sponsored by Corzo Tequila, but I arrived at about 10 and missed them. Also, there were supposed to be "piñatas filled with candy, DVDs & many more gifts from all our sponsors" but I didn't see any piñatas or gifts, so I guess I missed that, too. Brad Thomas of Intoxicate U Entertainment & April Storm were the ones to thank for putting it all together in association with The Artist Movement & Hardball Productions. Brad and April were successful in filling up the house with many notables, as you will see in the gallery. Hosts included James Bartholet of LA Nitelife, Brent Johnson Of One Entertainment, Andrew Aguilare, Kristine JD Ann, and AlexInLA.com. Music was provided by DJ SPIN. Sponsors included Pure Play Media, WantedList.com, Access Magazine, MoFo Wear, Phallix, Corozo Tequila, and Wet. Charmane looked beautiful dressed in all white, as was her friend Kaylani Lei. Not many people were dancing; most were engaged in conversations, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I left the party at about 2:15 a.m., in a joyous mood, pondering the evening's happenings. I was singing loudly to various songs on the radio. I got off at my off-ramp and was promptly pulled over for speeding. Like I mentioned, I was in a happy mood, so when the cop came up to my window, I said with a big smile, "You must be pulling me over to give me a Good Citizen Award, because there couldn't be any other reason." Anyway, we chatted for a bit and he let me go on home without giving me a ticket. I was so glad I didn't have a speeding ticket to end the evening. Click on the Photo at the top to open the gallery.
