Domcon 2005 was held at the Beverly Garland Hotel--the same location as last year--from April 28 through May 1, 2005. I attended on April 30 and May 1. Once again, Mistress Cyan successfully put on a major convention, touted as "America's Only Professional and Lifestyle Domination Convention." This was the third appearance of Domcon: Domcon LA 2004 was held in April of 2004, Domcon Atlanta 2004 took place in November of 2004, and in April of 2005 the event returned to Los Angeles. It began with a Meet and Greet on Thursday night, followed by three days of convention activities, which included 33 exhibitors, parties each night, demos in many of the vendor booths, live performances on the stage in the exhibit area, workshops and discussions in one of the banquet rooms, and an art show. Photos in this gallery include some from one of the live demonstrations of play piercing, where girls were pierced with needles on their backs which then held "angels wings" or turned one woman into a laced up human corset. There were lots of bondage demos where people showed off their rope-tying skills. There were flogging demos in booths and a major one on stage with Mistress Cyan expertly flogging a man who alternately looked in pain and in ecstacy. You'll also see photos of lots of models and attendees wearing corsets and other fetish attire, including handmade men's and women's corsets from AMF Korsets. Who attends and participates in Domcon? Well, to quote from their website (domconla.com), "the world's top Dominatrices, Switches, submissives, Bondage & Fetish Models, Webmasters, Fetish Photographers, Performing Artists, Educators and Lifestyle Practitioners of BDSM." I also saw Adult Movie Producers/Directors Jennifer James and Dru Berrymore who graciously posed for a few pictures. Although I didn't attend any of the night-time parties, I understand that the Play Party on Saturday night was so much fun that it ended three hours after it was supposed to. Next year, I plan to stay for the Play Party. And, you should, too! Click on the Image at the top to open the gallery. Return to Worth-a-Million Productions' MAIN MENU |
