Sardos Restaurant in Burbank was filled to capacity for this 2nd Annual event. KSEXradio Porn Jockeys (PJs), many of whom are pornstars, sat at tables with significant others, friends and some KSEXradio crew and fans. The evening began with cocktails and mingling. After cocktails was a very delicious dinner, then an audience-participation skit narrated by Wankus, followed by the awards presentation and finally karaoke. It was a private party until the karaoke began. I sat at a table with Scott Fayner and Taylor Rain, among others. You know you're not at an ordinary dinner party when someone's getting a handjob and then a blowjob at the table. Although seemeingly embarrassed for a second and hiding his face, Scott let his hormones prevail over his emotions and allowed Taylor to continue. Also at my table was an inebriated but always adorable Jason Sechrest, looking galant with his tophat and cane. KSEXradio's Program Manager Wankus did a heck of a job planning the event and making sure everything went well, even helping to clear dirty dishes from tables to move things along. Layla Jade, looking gorgeous in a lacy top and low-cut pants, hosted the event with great enthusiasm and humor. She kept the energy up and did a fantastic job. Wankus began the show by thanking all of the PJs and the crew who work hard to make KSEX a success. There are currently 34 PJs and only 8 of them would be receiving awards, which Wankus pointed out didn't mean the others sucked, just that there had to be winners. The "fairy tale" skit included four players: Catalina playing the Damsel in Distress; LA Jay from YNOT Masters playing the evil villain; and Johnny Buss, president of the L.A. Sparks, playing the Good Guy. The audience was prompted for their contributions of either the sounds of the wind blowing or the rain falling or a gunshot. The skit ended with Jay and Johnny walking off hand in hand, because, as Wankus pointed out, "It's a 'fairy tale'." Various people came to the podium to present the awards. Winners were chosen by the fans of KSEXradio who voted over a period of the last month and a half. The results were read from fifth place through the winner for each for each category. Wankus asserts that there's no way that could be piss, as some people have suggested. Chris Rick, KSEXradio's General Manager, presented Gene Ross with the Mike Rick Memorial Award, established in the name of the well-loved founder of KSEXradio who died tragically in an accident last year. The award is given to honor a person who has given a trememdous amount to the adult industry and to KSEXradio. On the voting ballot, people were allowed to write in the person they would most like to see host a show on KSEXradio. The winner was Carmen Luvana, and it was announced that negotiations are underway to indeed make that happen. Kayla remarked that she was so surprised that she won. "All I practiced to say when everyone said 'You should have won' was 'At least I was nominated'." Jenna and Ginger were not there to accept their awards. Jenna had responded by phone and her taped comments were played for the crowd. Gauge sparked some laughter when she came up to receive her award. She asked the audience "What the fuck did I just win? What's a hummer?" Flex chimed in with "Let me show you." Layla said she didn't know what a hummer was, either. When Chef Jeff came forward to present the award for sexiest KSEXradio babe, he first presented roses to his two co-hosts Cytherea and Lisa Sparxxx. He then brought out his "Kobe" (a large black dildo frequently seen on his show) dressed in a tie and sitting on a small wood chair. Katie Morgan, who along with Wankus won the best KSEXradio show, came up shyly to the podium. Of course she uttered her most oft heard word: "Yay." Lorrainiac won best porn jockey for two years in a row, not surprising for her dedication to her fans. We, at Worth-a-Million Productions, extend our heartiest congratulations to all winners!!
