Night of the Stars is an annual event sponsored by The Free Speech Coalition to honor adult stars for their contributions to the adult industry. This year it was at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City in the beautiful Main Ballroom. When I arrived, almost everyone was outdoors, having a drink, hors d'oevres and standing around or sitting and chatting. The theme was medieval, and there were some hired costumed men and women who wandered around, played music and made announcements. All but a handful of attendees were dressed in their finest attire. In the foyer they had many different donated items lined up on tables along the walls that attendees could bid on. Many of the minimum bids were beyond the means of the majority of the people in attendance, but there were still some great deals to get. The event was very well attended and expertly emceed by Adam Glasser and Juli Ashton. The biggest flurry of photographers near the stage occurred when Jenna Jameson reached the podium to accept her Positive Image Award. AVN's Dan Miller has an excellent, comprehensive writeup on all the festivities and award-winners. Click on the photo at the top of the page to see the gallery.
