Asia Carrera Signs at Stan's of Hollywood July 25, 2003

Asia arrived right on time to greet dozens of waiting admirers. She was there from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and fans kept arriving steadily throughout the evening. She arrived with Bud Lee (her soon-to-be ex-husband) and a photographer. Bud assisted with all the business aspects of the evening--putting up signs, displaying merchandise, announcing prices for products and Polaroids, taking photos and collecting the cash. I'm not sure which was hotter, the air temperature inside the store or Asia herself, who looked absolutely gorgeous. There were so many fans that came to see her that it was absolutely stifling in the medium-sized store. The manager said they had two air-conditioning units pumping away, but it wasn't cooling down at all. They eventually supplied a fan, and it was nice to take a few minutes of respite in front of it. The fans who wished to purchase a photo with Asia all stood in line, while others just gathered to watch her pose for pictures. It cost $10 for a clothed Polaroid and $20 for a nude one. There were some beautiful 8 x 10 glossies for sale for $10 and VHS videos and DVDs. With the purchase of a video or DVD, you'd also get a free photo with her. One guy purchased 3 nude photos with her, and he was happy to hand over the money. Another wanted a photo with him kissing her knee. He explained to me that he wasn't a knee fetishist, he just thought she had the most gorgeous legs. One girl had Asia sign her breast, while a young guy had her sign his face. People stayed until the end in spite of the heat, and they all went home seamingly happy with getting up close to a beautiful adult actress.
