"I Love Vagina" is the motto of a clothing company, as shown in the photo above, but could just as well have been the motto of Erotica L.A. Fans poured in by the thousands to drool over their favorite adult stars. They were treated to hugs from them, pictures with them, as well as posters or headshots autographed by them. There were long lines for many stars, and it was difficult to judge whose line was the longest. The show was well-organized and seemed to have few snags. Security was good at doing their job and the fans seemed well-behaved. I did witness one potential fight, and stepped in to try and diffuse it. All parties did walk away from each other, still seemingly angry, but I hope nothing further happened. At only $20 admission and the freedom to take all the pictures they wanted, fans certainly got a lot for their money. It really is an amazing convention, and this time, they added more things. There were free seminars you could attend on many topics, including sex toys, safe sex, bisexuality, tantric sex and much more. There was also the final judging of "L.A.'s Sexiest" on stage on Saturday. K.C. Armstrong, from the Howard Stern Show, was one of the judges. When the throngs of fans moved back in the area by the stage, I seized the opportunity to move more freely through the rest of the venue, so I didn't see who won the contest. According to Adult Video News, personal trainer Edmond Laurent was crowned the sexiest male and 18-year-old Devon Britton was named the sexiest female; both won $5,000. Industry veterans Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo were named the sexiest couple and walked away with $10,000. Everyone wins at Erotica L.A. The fans get to watch stage shows, listen to interesting seminars, meet lots of beautiful women, buy erotic gifts and watch dancers from Spearmint Rhino. Exhibitors get to promote their products and make some sales, and the adult stars get to promote themselves, their products and their websites, sign product endorsement contracts, get new movie-making offers and meet their fans face-to-face. Everyone goes home exhausted, but very happy.
