Industry Party October 8, 2003 |
Two adult video companies, Sineplex and Red Light District, and Colin Malone (from the show Colin After Dark) along with other sponsors, threw a party on the Sunset Strip at a soon-to-be-opened club. In addition to promoting new releases and products by the video companies, the event was held in protest of Los Angeles' new law banning lap dances in the city's strip clubs. People representing some L.A.-based exotic dance clubs were there, and people were out front getting signatures on petitions that requested that the new law be repealed. A goth-bedecked woman named Anzjalise got Ron Jeremy's signature on her petition and seemed to be very excited to be posing for pictures next to the star. Lots of adult industry celebs attended to show their support. Some of the ones I knew or met there were Selena Silver, Jessica Jaymes, Nick Manning, Becca Bratt, Aria, newcomer Nicole Jordan, Bianca Pureheart, Angel Sinn, Ron Jeremy and Nevaeh Ashton. Scott Fayner, from LukeFord.com, was there, as was Carly Milne, from Pornblography.com. Members of the music industry included Money B and Clee from Digital Underground and Numskull from The Luniz. Money B's brother, Tyronne, was there and was promoting the premiere edition of his pocket-sized magazine "Thirsty." As usual, the men in attendance greatly outnumbered the women. Media and adult stars were allowed in a special roped-off VIP area, so we could take pictures. Check out newcomer Nicole Jordan, the first picture below. She was getting a lot of attention. I bet she'll be in demand soon; she's very cute. Like many girls entering the business, she did her first movie with Ed Powers. |
