GREAT NEWS! KITTY FOXX IS IMPROVING! |

by Rachel Worth April 5, 2004, 2:00 a.m. - Just heard from Alan, Kitty Foxx's husband. He writes: Yes, Kitty is doing somewhat better. She came home on January 30th in a home hospice setting. The doctors gave up on her and only gave her about 2 weeks to live. She rallied the 1st day she was home and has gotten better but veeery slowly. Her left side is still paralyzed but she is regaining some feeling and movement in her left hand and foot. She still cannot speak more than a few words but hopefully that will improve too. She is fully conscious and only sleeps about 16 or 17 hours a day now as opposed to being fully unconscious when she got home. All in all I'd have to say that she is improving but as I said..... very slowly. I have a physical therapist coming in one day a week to help with her foot and arm movement. It will take at least a year or more but I have hope for a recovery. In the meantime I am updating her website, answering her emails and filling orders for her videos, etc. Alan For those of you unfamiliar with Kitty, she is a "mature" adult star, and, up until her health problems, was editor of Over 50 Magazine. She suffered an aneurysm in December and a stroke in January. Until this happened, she had planned to go to the adult conventions in Las Vegas in January and had even signed up for the Girls of the Internet Party. I visited her in the hospital when I was there for the adult expos and brought her a calendar filled with well-wishes written by many people in the adult industry who know her (Max Hardcore, Ron Jeremy, Nina Hartley, and Ed Powers, to name a few). She was not conscious at that time, and I left the calendar in her room. Her husband regarded it something to cherish and brought it home so it wouldn't be stolen. In the hospital, Kitty started to improve at first, but then took a sudden turn for the worse. When doctors informed the family that an EKG showed no more brain activity, the family decided to bring her home to spend her final days. She returned home on Jan. 30, and as you read in Alan's e-mail, she is slowly getting better. I wish her well and hope for her complete recovery.
