Tonight's party was sponsored by Barfly, Las Vegas Novelties, Mofo Wear, the Hardcore Source, Digital Blue Studios and Jill Kelly Productions. In addition to gathering friends to celebrate the holiday, the purpose of this party was to have a toy drive to benefit Native American children. The children are on a reservation in Wyoming, visited yearly by Duke Hunter (a.k.a. Brian) of The Hardcore Source.

Skye Blue said that there is a lot of publicity about the needs of other countries and we are forgetting the needs of those in our own back yard. "Most Americans are under the impression that the government pays Native Americans to be on these reservations, but that is very untrue. A lot of reservations have a 75-80% unemployment rate, and around the holidays it's difficult on the families because they have to decide whether to buy toys for their children or firewood and coal for heat. Having very little running water on the reservation and having to battle the elements of Mother Nature during the winters by walking to the water pumps and outhouses, the needs here are high and attention from most media and our government very low."

The turnout for the party/toy drive was a bit disappointing. I saw the guest list, and it was massive, but many who were expected did not show up. It turns out there was another big party tonight, and some may have gone there instead. Too bad, because this was an opportunity to show the generosity of the adult industry.

I did get to talk to people more because it wasn't overcrowded. I had heard of Felix Vicious before and had seen pictures of her, but we hadn't met until tonight. She was there with her friend, Lili Anne, who is just getting in to the adult biz.

The music was loud but great! The DJ played lots of the kind of music where you can't keep still when you hear it. A few people danced, but most just visited with one another.

Dru Berrymore and Cindy Crawford were there but I didn't get to talk to either one or get any pictures because they didn't stay long. Luckily, my friend Clinton Wallace (Photomundo.com) sent some pictures of Cindy and Dru and a few others, too.

Also enjoying themselves were Skye Blue from Digital Blue Studios; Haven, Yvette, Robert, Scott and Lily from Jill Kelly Productions; Nick Manning (with new short haircut!); Vandalia; Tommy from Peekaboo Girls; Carly Milne; and Sonny from Vivid (who is up for an award for editing at the AVN Awards). I saw Tod Hunter who announced that he is going to open his own website soon. It will be tod-hunter.net.
