Mike Rick's Death Leaves Many People Grieving
by Rachel Worth, Worth-a-Million.com

Mike Rick lost his life in the early morning hours on Monday, October 28, 2002 after a treacherous fall while he hiked up the side of a steep cliff in the hills behind his home in Burbank, California. The Los Angeles Coroner's Office is still investigating the exact cause of death.

Mike was the General Manager of KSEXradio (KSEXradio.com), an online sex-talk radio station. He hosted his own show, the KSEXperts, on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. PST. He was a friend to many and was a positive force in bringing adult entertainment to the public.

I spent time with him at the KSEX studios as well as at events and in his home. I am very saddened and will never forget his warm smile, beautiful blue eyes, friendliness, British accent, joyous laughter, numerous stories, and his love of family and friends.

I wrote the following poem in memory of Mike:

A Tribute to Mike Rick
-- Rachel Worth

Throughout our lives people come and go;
Some leave a shadow, a few leave a glow.
Mike was one of those rare shining lights
Who'd brighten our days, add laughter to our nights.

No one could meet him and then walk away
Without hearing a story or something he wanted to say.
No matter what tale he was relating to you,
You'd listen politely until he was through.

The situations he'd describe held many in awe,
As he talked about his life--what he did, what he saw.
There were so many adventures and so much fun,
He'd be laughing and smiling when recounting each one.

He was so friendly to everyone he met;
He left an impression you couldn't forget.
His eyes and his accent were two of his many attractions;
He always made you feel special by his words and his actions.

What a gift to have shared the laughter in his life,
To have met his friends and family and his loving wife.
Now since his death we're all sharing the sorrow,
But we're left with great memories to carry us through tomorrow.

Rest in Peace, Mike. I'll never forget you.
